I couldn't figure out why, but when I made a test mpeg of the whole movie, this section blended right into the rest at the same aspect ratio.
#CHANGING PAL TO NTSC DVD FULL#
Everything should be 1.85:1 but when viewed in their preview window, all my other files appear correct & letterboxed, while this one looks stretched out to fill a full screen.
Is the audio at a different pitch and I am just unable to detect it? I've got adjacent lines of dialogue in the clips - I figured the change would be audible, but it's not.Īlso, one odd footnote: if I pull this mpeg into Womble MPEG Video Wizard (the editor I am using), it appears to have a different aspect ratio than my other files. I'd like to know this before I use it in my final movie. Considering the somewhat complicated guides for doing this sort of conversion, I'm not sure if I'm missing something minor that is wrong with the file. It looks fine and the audio appears to be synced basically I can't see or hear anything wrong with it. MPEG-VCR also allows you to change the framerate on the video if you want, so I saved a second version at 29.97. I used Womble MPEG-VCR to extract the part of the vob I need at the PAL standard 25 FPS. I need the framerate for this mpeg to match. Press the MENU button of the remote control The list of setting items will be displayed. However, I need to make sure this won't cause problems in the finished DVD - i.e. A short section (1 minute) of one of the vob files is unusable, but luckily I have a PAL version from which I can extract the segment I need. Sorry for the horribly newbish question, but I'm lost on this issue, and the guides I have read aren't clearing things up.
